This is a quite special ancient sandstone carving, a head dressing scarf headgear.

Its face looks like an eunuch, without beard, not in an awe-inspiring display of military force.

The eunuch was the close servant of court in ancient China.

The headgear of this stone head was called "PU TOU", a scarf on the head in ancient China.

The "PU TOU" was a fashion head dressing in Tang dynasty ( 618-907 AD ) and Song dynasty ( 960-1279 AD ).
